Self Care During the Holidays

The holidays can be very stressful. Focus on balance and self care during this time of year to avoid burn out.


  • Think Kindness. Focus on small acts of kindness such as helping a child, smiling at stranger, complimenting someone or giving a hug to someone in need.

  • Practice an attitude of gratitude by focusing on all the blessings in your life right now, stay in the present moment by being grateful.

  • Get outside everyday to improve your mood, sleep better and balance your blood sugar.


  • Just say NO! Learn to say no, make time for yourself, and remember what's really important.


  • Set boundaries around technology by not checking your email while at home and turning your phone off 2 hours before bedtime.


  • Set boundaries with co-workers and yourself around work. Enjoy time spent with family away from work.

With a little focus on what's really important during the holidays, you can preserve your health and reduce stress.
